Winter
At 1,600 m above the Traunsee lake, the Feuerkogel high plateau provides a gorgeous panoramic view of the whole Salzkammergut. The 40km of hiking trails and paths are suitable for pleasant hikes as well as demanding mountain tours. The typical karst scenery with its unique flora and fauna is of naturalistic interest.

Worth a visit are the annual midsummer festival on June 21 and the hut adventure festival from July 2 to 3.
A must for nature lovers are the naturalistic hikes on the high plateau on Mondays from June 2 to October 6.
Special offers for kids: Every Wednesday during the summer holidays (July 5 - Sep 7) free Feuerkogel cable car ride for children if accompanied by an adult. On this day rope slide on the mountain.
Another highlight for groups from approx. 20: Feuerkogel cable car return ticket plus a local specialty (roast) in one of the mountain inns from €15 per person.
Mountain bike downhill trail
Pure fun is guaranteed on the 5,600m-long natural downhill trail.
