Carollers

In addition to the old custom of the “Glöcklerlauf” parade and the “Ride of the Three Wise Men” another tradition organized by the Catholic youth has emerged: “The Carollers”

From January 1st to 6th groups of boys and girls dress up as the “Three Kings of the East” and together with a star carrier they go from house to house and sing religious songs.

With consecrated chalk they write the sign K+M+B (=Christus man sionem benedicat = Christ bless this house) and the year onto the door frame. The collected donations go to a project in developing countries.
