Every year, on the weekend after 11.11. (Start of Carnival) the Bad Ischl Carnival Association arouses the fools in Bad Ischl.

Glöcklerlauf Parade and the Arrival of the Three Wise Men

In addition to the old custom of the “Glöcklerlauf” parade and the “Ride of the Three Wise Men” another tradition organized by the Catholic youth has emerged: “The Carollers”

The Ischl nativity play is Upper Austria’s oldest religious folk play.

In Bad Ischl the manufacturing of Native scenes is a traditional craft of private persons. Many cribs, some are hundreds of years old, are privately owned and can be visited directly at the owner / builder in the period from December to February .
