From “Hahnbaum” landmark one walks through Pfarrgasse path and Kaiser-Franz-Josef street to Rechensteeg car park. From there you follow the hiking trail at the left Ischl shore to Kreutererstrasse road, cross the bridge and hike the steep trail uphill in direction Kaiserdörfl. Follow Jainzendorfstrasse road to get to Sophien-Doppelblick vantage point. Hike between farm houses and old fruit trees to the foothills of Jainzenberg Mountain until you turn into a stone-lined path. Follow the steep serpentines to get to the summit fast (approx. 50min from Doppelblick). From the summit you enjoy a fantastic view from Wolfgangsee valley to Krippenstein.
Descent: same way as ascent. Experienced hikers can also follow a badly-marked trail to Jainzental valley to get down to the valley.
