From the parking space with a well and a signpost we follow the precipitous path to the mountain houses at the Salzberg. We pass the signpost after the last house to the right and follow the byway up the brook up to of a left turn with a tunnel entrance. We go up the old precipitous travel way straight ahead until we reach again the byway (013°39'26 “O - 47°40'39“ N - 806m). Here the path of „1000 Staffeln“ begins. We leave the byway to the right and climb up next to a mountain chapel to logging trail. After that we go almost only on steps to the Reinfalzalm (013°39'35 “O - 47°40'21“ N – 1020m). Here we cross the logging trail again. Shortly we follow a travel way to a hut which we leave straight in the first left turn. Few minutes later we follow a narrow steep track on the left upward (pay attention on the hiking trail markers!). Through partly humid area we reach an old travel way which we do not leave up to the Hütteneck (013°40'24 “O - 47°39'59“ N - 1217m). From we have only 10min gravelled way to the Hütteneck alp. We keep to the way back on the south side of the Zwerchwand (interesting landslip area) to the sign-posting Roßmoosalm/Predigtstuhl (this road segment is examined by the section OeAV Bad Goisern). At the Roßmoosalm alp we follow the forrest trail for 500m (do not turn left!!) to a turning (Törl). Here we leave the street to the right at a signpost (013°38'34 “O - 47°39'50“ N - 1047m). Now we go for about 1 hour through the woods down to the mountain houses with the Salzberg. We have to cross twice a logging trail. Attention: at the second with crossing: do not follow the street. The path follows the brook down on the right side (013°38'31 “O - 47°40'23“ N – 840m). We reach again the byway which we used at the start.
