Many trails lead to Hoisnrad. One of the most popular and probably the most beautiful trail is the Emperor Anniversary Trail, which was designed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the rule of Emperor Franz Joseph. Starting from the Hahnbaum landmark on the esplanade one follows the road for a short while to Sterzens Abendsitz and continues through a settlement to Rosenkranzgasse road. From there one hikes along the Emperor Anniversary Trail through a mixed beech tree forest, past a quarry to get to Hoisnradalm hut.
