Starting from Katrin Alm pasture, an alpine routes leads across Hainzen Mountain and Rosskopf Mountain (1,659m) to Ahornfeld pasture (un-serviced). An exposed trail, some parts are secured by ropes. All the way hikers enjoy a fantastic view of the Salzkammergut area. You might even encounter chamois. From Ahornfeld pasture one descends to Gasthof zur Wacht guesthouse.
