The time-honoured Anezenaumühle mill has now a new shiny appearance after renovation works. Visitors can expect unique evidence of typical regional architecture and way of life of days long gone.
The history of the house is as long as interesting. We presume that the property has been around since 1325. It might well have been the first, historically backed up trade farm of Austria. Already in the 18th century the “Paarhof” farm (two separate, parallel buildings for living and agriculture) has become a considerably developed business featuring a residential building, a milling industry, a bakery for brown bread, stables, einer Sagblochstatt a gypsum crushing device and a bath.
The “Schwarze Kuchl” kitchen with open fire, large stone oven and a smokery, the bakery, the milling parlour, the crushing parlour, the Sagblochstatt and the stables, which hold riding horses today, can be visited.
In the former apartment of the millers on the first floor regular exhibitions take place. Dates for bread baking in the stone oven are postered.
