Usually, carnival time starts on November 11 at 11.11 a.m. Carnival activities are suspended after November 25 (St. Catharine) and during Advent time. Only after January 6th carnival festivities restart.
”Liachtbratl” Monday is celebrated in Bad Ischl on the first Monday after September 29th (= St. Michael’s). “Liachtbratl” Monday is the day on which one has to use artificial light for working for the first time.
