Every year, on August 15th, in memory of the Emperor Franz Joseph, the so-called Kaiserfest is arranged by the marching band Bad Ischl .
Franz Joseph I was born on August 18th 1830 in Schloss Schönbrunn in Vienna.
In commemoration of the traditional birthday celebrations of Emperor Franz Joseph (K.F.J.) in his lifetime a public festival is organized on the Esplanade in Bad Ischl organized on The Feast of the Assumption, namely August 15th.
Throughout the day there is a colorful program of folk music, operettas, dance and culinary delights. For many years allready the Kaiserfest has been organised by the marching band Bad Ischl.
