Autumn weeks in Bad Ischl are a festival weeks!
In the Salzkammergut strong emphasis are put on ancient customs and tradition. A fixed component is the yearly "Bauernherbst" farm autumn which will be also celebrated this year from August until October 2011.
With over 2,000 events revolving around folk traditions and country crafts, SalzburgerLand will celebrate Harvest Festival from August until October in 78 different communities.
Autumn in Bad Ischl - a time to celebrate!
Our big Harvest Festival event, featuring numerous folk-music groups and culinary delights served up by farmers' wives from the region, is just the opening to a series of autumn celebrations here in Bad Ischl. As you attend our hill festivals, the return of cattle from summer pastures and farmers' markets, you cannot fail to notice that our traditions are very much alive and well.
